About
GAI Engineers
In
1934, M. Samuel Gronich, M.E., founded Gronich Associates
Incorporated (GAI), a business committed to helping insurance
professionals understand the nature and cost of electrical
losses. Mr. Gronich was Chairman of the Massachusetts State
Board of Fire Prevention Regulations for a majority of the
1970’s. This board is also responsible for the Massachusetts
Electrical Code. During his five decades as owner, Mr. Gronich
expanded the business to include plumbing and HVAC losses.
In
1989, George F. Williams, P.E., purchased GAI. Mr. George
Williams had over 30 years experience in the engineering industry,
and held two Master of Science Degrees from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
GAI
relocated to its present location in Stoughton, Massachusetts
in 1992. This move allowed GAI to double its office space,
create a test lab, and store evidence in a climate-controlled
warehouse. Further growth, between 1997 and 1999 expanded
GAI’s office space and evidence storage.
In
2001, Andrew J Williams, P.E., was named President of GAI.
Mr. Andrew Williams has over twelve years of engineering experience
in manufacturing and design, and holds a Bachelor of Science
Degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Under
the leadership of the Williams Family, GAI has transitioned
its resource base from part-time to full-time employees. Because
there will always be those “niche” jobs, GAI is
constantly refining its database of qualified scientists,
engineers, tradespersons and test laboratories in very specific
fields, which they contract on a job by job basis.
